Healthy Living 1200

60% of this course is gym/activity based.  40% of the course involves research projects. Below is a list of the project for research

1. Project #1:  Research into body type and professional sport participation.   (should be submitted).

2. Project #2:  Active living/ promotion of active living.   (currently due).
3. Project #3: Benefits of active living and particular physical exercises. (just beginning)


4. Project #4: Eating habits and benefits of certain foods. Due Feb 17th.


***Students will be doing some classes outside in Feb and March weather permitting. They will be given notice one day prior to going outside.

Enterprise 3205

40% of this course is now complete. We are embarking on the portion of the course that encourages entrepreneurial effort from the students. In the upcoming months students will be doing a variety of activities which include but are not limited to the following:
1. Creation of a self entrepreneurial profile. This will be in the form of a written essay of about 5-6 pages typed.
2. Participation on a Dragon Den activity in which students will present a business idea to a panel of invited guest judges to our school.
3. The development of a business plan for an hypothetical business.
4. The running of a provincial tournament, including all business related aspects to this event.
5. A social entrepreneurial activity that will raise funs for the charity of choice of the students.


ALL LATE WORK MUST NOW BE SUBMITTED FOR THE FIRST PART FO THE COURSE.

Grade 9A Social Studies

Feb 29:
Working on World War 2:  propaganda poster work is all due now.

Grade 8 Social Studies.

Feb 29:
Students have four pieces of work that are due to be submitted:
1. WW1 equipment postcard.
2. Statistics graph
3. Question 1 or 2 from page 146.
4. Essay (150 words) on Nfld Regiment.


Test is next week...focus on two review sheets passed out in class.

World Geography 3202

All booklets and labs for unit three on ecosystems should be passed in...many are not, they are past due.
Feb 29.
Current unit:
Agriculture and Oil and Gas are now complete. Only forestry and fishing left. Expect test on this unit middle of next Week.

Grade 7 Science

Feb 29:
Chapter 6 quiz this week.
Major unit test on chapters 4-5-6. Monday March 7th.

Grade 7 Social Studies

Feb 19/2016.
Excellent work on ch 5 visual assignments. It is obvious that some students put in lots of extra effort. Great job.
Social studies  test on chapter 6 is tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday, Feb 24.
Students should also submit their ch. 6 question booklets and ch 6. independent reading assignments tomorrow as well.
